My name is Natalia, and I’m creating this fundraiser for my mother, Rosy. She has been the strongest person I know, a single mom for the past 12–13 years, raising four children completely on her own after my father left the country. She has never once asked for handouts, and despite all the challenges, she has always worked herself beyond her limits to provide for us.

My mom (Rosy) has been in the United States for over 27 years, building a beautiful life from nothing. In the early days, she sold gold on the streets of California, and later, she and my father moved our family to Washington in search of better opportunities and a more peaceful life. When she became a single mom, she carried all the weight herself and never stopped fighting for us.

For the past 13 years, my mom has been fighting for her citizenship. She has worked tirelessly, saved every dollar she could, and even started a small business selling items she sources like clothing, shoes, home decor, trinkets, and more; just to keep moving forward. Now she’s in the final stretch. She has been studying hard for her exam, which is coming up in just a few weeks.

The most difficult part of this final step is the cost. She has already paid thousands of dollars out of her own pocket over the years, but now we are facing the final fees, legal expenses, and immigration costs which total $3,500.

Rosy has spent her entire life giving everything she has to her children and her community without ever asking for help. This is the one time we are reaching out because we truly believe she deserves to finally complete this journey.
