On July 15th sweet little RosieMay and her parent’s world was turned upside down.

RosieMay along with her family were at the beach enjoying their weekly family picnic.

She was being held at the time and without warning a dog on a long retractable leash bite her face without cause. The right side of her face was torn nearly off and left hanging.

RosieMay was rushed to their local hospital, where the doctor and nurse immediately prepped her to be sent to Kelowna General Hospital where she has since been under the care of Dr. Miller.

To date she has had the following:

-1 reconstructive surgery

-1 plastic surgery

-1 blood transfusion

-leech therapy to promote blood flow to the damaged tissue

She is slated for another surgery tomorrow because the affected tissue is not improving, and the Doctor predicts there will be more surgeries to follow.

Sadly, RosieMay will be spending her 1st Birthday in the Hospital (July 29, 2021).
