On Thursday, January 9th, our sweet 7-month-old baby boy, Rory, was admitted to the PICU at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He has suffered brain damage due to lack of oxygen to his brain. We are hoping we are on a road to recovery, but everything is still very unknown. We are currently at the hospital all day, every day, which is over an hour from our home, and just taking it one day at a time. We have no clue as to what lies ahead for us in the long-term, but we believe in science, miracles and the power of positivity and prayer.
We are asking for donations to help offset missed pay so we do not fall behind on bills and to also help with costs associated with this hospital stay, including gas and food. Being a single-income home with 2 baby boys, money can get tight quick and Brayden is currently taking time off without any pay to be here with us 24/7, which is what is needed right now. We absolutely hate to ask for help, but we feel like it about the only option we have right now. We would greatly appreciate anything received to help us be able to focus on Rory’s recovery while also trying to maintain as normal of a life as we can for our almost 3-year-old son River during this trying time without the added stress of falling behind on basic finances.
We know times are tight for everyone, especially after the holidays, and we truly do not want to be asking for assistance, but we really could use the assistance. If you are unable to help monetarily, please consider taking the time to keep us in your hearts, positive thoughts, and prayers.
Thank you so much.
