Hi friends!

We are reaching out to our friends, families, and far-aways for help with Seth's mom, my mother in law, Ronda Cook. Many of you haven't had the pleasure of meeting her because she lives all the way out in Sullivan, Missouri! There she lives with her other son, Jared, and her two grandchildren, Trevor and Riley. Many of you also don't know that she was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in December of 2024. But, Ronda is one tough cookie! And that is why, after so many months, we are here.

On January 2nd, 2025, She began 6 months of Chemotherapy, including the dreaded Red Devil, with a long journey ahead. Needless to say, chemo hasn't been easy on her. The risk of illness and side effects of chemo, forced her to almost immediately quit her job at Cracker Barrel. She's been fighting ongoing nausea, extreme and constant fatigue, digestive issues, and more. As of 6/19, she still has two more rounds of the Red Devil Chemo, followed by a double mastectomy. After surgery, she will need to have 15 rounds of radiation. The radiation has to be completed in 15 consecutive days an hour and a half away from where she lives. Needless to say, she has been, and still is fighting a a long and difficult battle. But on top of the constant appointments and the wretched physical side effects, the pains of financial stress have taken its toll.

With the loss of her job, and without a support system of siblings, cousins, etc. she has been relying on social security and a small stipend for being the legal guardian of her granddaughter. (Once her grandson turned 18 in March, his stipend stopped). Supporting a household of four people on such a limited income while trying to find the strength to fight such an aggressive cancer, has been the battle of her life. Sharing one car between her and Jared has also put a strain on life, having to rely on friends to get to and from chemo treatments and doctor appointments. Any and every unexpected expense, knocks everything out of wack, forcing a great deal of stress on her rent, medical bills, and transportation for chemo.

While Jared lives with her and does his best to help, as well as some of Ronda's good friends, their resources and time are limited. And while Seth and I have been her biggest prayer warriors, she is needing help from an army of givers to ease this financial burden. The last thing she needs on top of all she is going through, is the threat of losing their place to live and the stress that comes with it. We are reaching out and asking for generous hearts to help ease this difficult chapter in her life. Your help will aid in supporting her medical bills, rent, utilities, transportation, and any and every unexpected cost that arises.

She has been going hard with treatment for the first 6 months already, and still has a long road ahead, but with the love and support of those around her it all gets just a little bit easier♥️

{Excerpt from FB Live Mama Ronda’s Kickin’ Cancer’s Butt Live Stream Concert Series}

As many of you are well aware, we (Seth and Sara) play multiple shows every week currently in the North/South Carolina area. We’ve decided that we would like to start live streaming at least one show per week, with a virtual tip jar, and give 100% of the online contributions to Seth’s mother Ronda in order to help ease her stress of daily living expenses, medical bills, travel to and from chemo, etc.

Each week we will update you on which show will be live streamed and what time you can tune in, as well as all important info like website, gratuity, etc. Every broadcast will feature a different venue- some old songs, some new, but always lots of love! So be sure to plan more than one weekend at home! And what’s even better? Mama Ronda has offered to make herself available for most of the online streams, and will be your personal concierge, relaying your comments, shoutouts, etc. to Seth as we play.
