Help Ronald Recover and Support His Growing Family

About three months ago, I was riding my bike into work and hit a bump that sent me over the handlebar, breaking both my arms. My left arm was severely damaged. The radial head of my elbow broke in multiple spots, cracked my ulna head, and dislocated my elbow, which also tore up a bunch of tendons. Additionally, my right radial head had been fractured as well. (Bi-Lateral Radial Head Fracture)

Through all this, I remained solid in my faith that I would make a full recovery from this and move forward with my life. I struggled through the first 6 weeks mentally as the diminished flow of money into the house was effectively cut in half.

My partner was 4.5 months pregnant at this point. But we persisted, and I was able to return to work on light duty and get some sort of income going. Things appeared to be healing well, and through the pain we endured, with the high strain of medical bills, diminishing our income as I recovered.

Fast forward to my 12-week check-up, everything was good for the most part as I could use my arms and lift 5kg without much pain. I was sure I’d get cleared to go back to full-time duty just before our baby arrives, and my partner takes maternity leave.

Well, unfortunately, I received the devastating news that my replacement elbow has moved away from the bone and I will require another surgery to fix a number of complications: where they will replace the radial head again with a full ligament replacement and a few screws placed in my ulna to help stabilize my elbow.

I go back into surgery this upcoming week and will be out of work for an unknown time. I’m only asking for donations because I feel financially overwhelmed and I want to be able to provide for both my partner and son with our birth being an exceptionally expensive time, but unfortunately, this has struck us down.
