My name is Betty Yammarino, and I am starting this GoFundMe for my son, Ron Luimit.
Just over a year ago, Ron was diagnosed with Stage 3 tongue cancer. It has been an incredibly difficult journey, but Ron has faced it with such strength and positivity. He has just been discharged from the hospital for the second time, and he is currently undergoing chemotherapy while preparing to begin radiation treatments next week.
The good news is that the chemo has already helped shrink the mass on his neck and tongue, and he is now able to talk and eat again. For this, we are deeply grateful.
Our biggest challenge right now is finding Ron a safe and stable place to live while he continues his treatments—a room to rent, or even a van where he can sleep. Affordable options have been very difficult to find, which is why we are reaching out for help.
We are asking for your support—whether through a donation of any amount, sharing this page with others, or letting us know if you are aware of a room, small rental, or van available at a reasonable cost.
Every bit of help brings us closer to making sure Ron can focus on his recovery without the heavy burden of housing insecurity.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.
With love and gratitude,
Betty, Ron, and our family
