Rodney Wilbur has devoted his life to serving others. For countless years, he has been a steady light in the Eaton Rapids recovery community—showing up when it mattered most. From baking cookies and treats, to opening his doors for meetings, to lending a helping hand whenever the opportunity presented itself, Rod has consistently put others before himself.
More than that, Rod has spent countless hours—days, even years—listening. Listening to people at their lowest moments. Encouraging them as they worked to overcome addiction, self-doubt, and despair. Offering patience, hope, and compassion when many felt they had none left. His quiet presence and unwavering support have helped change lives.
Despite the impact he’s had on so many, Rod has never experienced the joy of a fully finished home. Due to tight finances, the upstairs of his home has remained unfinished for years. His dream is simple and humble: to finally see his home completed and enjoy the comfort and peace he has so freely helped provide for others.
Why We’re Helping
My name is Laura DeLong, and Rod Wilbur has been a source of support for my family during some of the most excruciatingly hard times of our lives. When we needed encouragement, understanding, and someone willing to listen without judgment, Rod was there.
Because of what he has meant to my family—and to so many others—we want to help give something back. But we can’t do it alone. That’s why we’re asking for the community to come alongside us and help make this possible.
Now it’s our turn to give back.
How You Can Help
• Donate – Any financial contribution, no matter the size, helps move this project forward.
• Give Your Time or Talents – Skilled trades, labor, or services are welcome and deeply appreciated.
• Share This Fundraiser – Even if you’re unable to donate, sharing this page helps reach others who may be able to help.
Every act of generosity—big or small—brings Rodney one step closer to finally having a finished home.
Let’s rally together and show Rod the same love, generosity, and support he has shown to so many.
Thank you for helping us lift up a man who has lifted up others for so long. ❤️
