It is with a heavy heart that I come to you today, asking for help for my dad, Rocky Barrow, who has been a pillar of strength and faith in our community. Fifteen years ago, my dad was diagnosed with grade 4 medullary blastoma, a form of brain cancer. After months in a coma and a long road to recovery, he fought with everything he had, learning to walk and talk again. He came out of that battle stronger than ever, and dedicated his life to God, working faithfully at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery. But now, after all these years, we’re faced with another devastating diagnosis: papillary squamous cell carcinoma.

This new diagnosis has completely turned our world upside down. The cancer has already taken a toll, and my mom is missing a lot of work just to take my dad to appointments and care for him. Their finances are stretched thin, with hospital bills piling up. My dad can’t receive radiation, as he had already exhausted that option during his battle with brain cancer. His tumor is too large for surgery as it has entered his windpipe, so chemotherapy is his only option now. Despite everything, they have always been the type to avoid asking for help, never wanting to burden anyone, but the situation has become too overwhelming to handle alone.
