Help Rock’n Ronda’s Recover From April Ice Storm
Donation protected
If you’re from North Stormont, you’ve definitely had a meal or ice cream cone from Rock’n Ronda’s Diner and Pizzeria in Avonmore. Ronda, Mike and their family own and operate this small business and they are a pillar of our community. They support town events, donate treats and gift cards to local fundraisers, and we all know that they put together THE BEST Halloween displays and haunted houses in the area! Anytime you stop by the restaurant, whether it be for a meal, to pick up your take out or a delicious milkshake, you’re always greeted by Ronda and her team with a smile and friendly chatter!
On Wednesday, April 5th our area was hit by a devastating ice storm and the roof at Rock’n Ronda’s was struck by a large tree that seriously damaged the building and caused flooding.
Note from Rock’n Ronda’s (April 5, Facebook):
“We have some really upsetting news to tell you all.
Our Restaurant has taken significant damage due to the ice storm, too much damage. We were prepping earlier today, getting ready for our Easter Special – when a large tree fell and caused significant damage to our roof, which resulted in further flooding damage.
Unfortunately that means that not only is our Easter Special canceled – but Rock'n Ronda's Diner will be Closed for the foreseeable future.
We are so sorry.
This hurts a lot ”
Now is the time for our community to come together to support this family who feeds us when we’re too tired to cook, who supports our fundraisers, works countless hours and does it all with the kindest smile and attitude. The funds raised will go towards their expenses to get the restaurant back up and running, personal expenses and lost wages. (We all know how busy they would have been on Easter weekend making those delicious meals!) We will all be there when the doors reopen but until then, please consider supporting this online fundraiser.
Thank you!
