UPDATE 10/14/22: We reached our fundraising goal in less than 24 hours and took possession of the pedicab on Thursday 10/13/22, thanks to our community! Any funds raised above and beyond the purchase price of the machine will go toward upkeep and maintenance, as well as a new paint job. Thank you!

Hi! I'm Robert (Robot) Adams' partner, Monica, and I can tell you that Robot finds his joy in community service and educating folks about local art and culture.

As a disabled Army veteran, Robot volunteered for the Kinetic Museum in Eureka from the time he returned from the Army in 2016 until the museum was closed about a year ago. Robot used his own personal limited funds to fix up the Museum pedicab, which had been involved in a collision, gave it a paint job, and "dressed" it up for holidays and events. He was in the community whenever there was an opportunity to provide free rides during events, and mural and sculpture tours to visitors. That pedicab was unfortunately sold when the Museum closed.

Robot has talked non-stop about getting another pedicab since then, and a local seller has just posted one for sale on Facebook Marketplace. If we can raise the funds to get this pedicab, Robot could be giving rides again, right away!

This machine is listed for $2,500 firm. Friends have already Venmo'd $70 to the cause, which will help cover the payment processing fees and help toward the goal. We're hoping to get some support from local municipalities and/or businesses and raise these funds before anyone else purchases it.
