9/18 - URGENT - Help River find legal representation before 9/30 court date (Cost: $8,000)

River Frander Lopez Garcia was detained and taken by ICE on September 5th in Hyattsville. River works hard to support his family, many of whom live back in Guatemala. His father, who is ill and uses a wheelchair, and his five younger brothers and sisters are all depending on the income from River’s ability to work - something that ICE has prevented him from doing.

River is seeking legal representation, which is more and more difficult to find pro-bono as ICE detentions and immigration cases skyrocket in number. He has a court date on 9/30 and it is critical for him and his family that he has adequate legal representation that can help him stay in this country and support his family. His cousin Darissa* is doing everything she can to bring River back home while working and raising her 6 year old daughter, but she needs your help.

River Frander López García fue detenido y tomado a por ICE (la migra) el 5 de septiembre en Hyattsville. River trabaja duro para apoyar a su familia, muchos de ellos en Guatemala. Su padre, que está enfermo y usa una silla de ruedas, y sus cinco hermanos menores dependen de los ingresos que River obtiene con su trabajo, algo que el ICE le ha impedido hacer.

River está buscando representación legal, lo cual es cada vez más difícil de encontrar de forma gratuita, ya que las detenciones de ICE y los casos de inmigración se han disparado. Tiene corte el 30 de septiembre y es fundamental para él y su familia que cuente con una representación legal adecuada que le ayude a permanecer en este país y mantener a su familia. Su prima Darissa* está haciendo todo lo posible para traer a River de vuelta a casa mientras trabaja y cría a su hija de 6 años, pero necesita su ayuda.
