Who We Are
Hello! I'm Riven. I'm a mom and spouse trying to get my family to a safer place, where my kids have a chance at a good future. The political climate in the U.S. is becoming increasingly terrifying for anybody not a straight, white, rich man. We are a family where neurodivergence is strong, and I, myself, am trans (non-binary), neurodivergent, and chronically ill.
Why Start a GoFundMe?
We have the ability to move out of the country, but the problem is that we cannot save up what we need and pay our bills at the same time. Especially since Ameren Missouri hiked their prices, making our electric bill alone a whopping average of $450-500 a month. This GoFundMe would allow us to get everything we need, such as passports, luggage, tickets, health certificates for our pets (required for overseas), etc.
Other Ways to Help
I'm an artist and content creator. I make money off of video views, Patreon, my merch store, affiliate marketing (basically referring people to stuff I already use, like the drawing app I use), etc. Watching my content, buying my merch, or buying products through my links helps me a lot!

Pricing Breakdown
- Passports (2x adults, 2x children) - $600
- Plane tickets - $400-500 per person / ~$2000
- Luggage Fees - ~$300 per person / -$1200
- 1st + 2nd month + fees at an apartment - ~$6,000 based on market research + reaching out to rentals in the areas we're looking at to get an idea of fees and logistics. The second month is basically the same as a deposit here in the states.
- Pets' USDA-certified health certificates, microchips, etc. (for 5 cats and a rabbit) - $1,000
- Pet transport service (all 6 pets) - $2,500
- DAFT visa minimum - $5,500 (to be held in my business avings account at all times; this is simply the minimum required for my business to have in its bank at all times to maintain qualification for the DAFT visa)
- Total: $18,800.
- The extra: The extra $6.2k on the GoFundMe is to cover GoFundMe's platform fees and transfer fees. GoFundMe's fees vary based on how many donors donate. So, for example, if 5,000 people donated $5, the fees would be $2,225. If 1,250 people donated $20, it'd be a fee of $1,100. So, since it's hard to estimate how many people will donate, I just rounded up to cover everything and any surprise costs. Anything above the moving costs and GFM fees will go directly towards things like furnishing the apartment when we get there.
