Rita’s story

Rita Yorgensen is an 88-year-old widow in our community who reached out for help after finding herself in need of roof repairs she simply cannot afford. Rita lives on a fixed income and has no credit, which has made this situation even harder. She rents a spot in a mobile home community, and she has been told that all required repairs must be completed by October 12, 2026, or she could face eviction. When Rita Yorgensen contacted the company Kasi works with, it was clear that this was more than just a repair job. This is about helping a neighbor stay safe in her home and making sure she is not facing this burden alone. Kasi and the company have decided to do what they can to help, and they have also reached out to vendors for additional support.

The funds raised will go toward the labor and materials needed for Rita Yorgensen’s repairs so the work can be completed properly and on time. If there is anything extra, it will be given directly to Rita Yorgensen to help with any other expenses she may have.
