Help Riham and her daughters evacuate from Gaza

Riham Marwan is raising funds to help her family evacuate Gaza and survive the winter in Gaza. Gaza has been under a war of annihilation for over a year, and this is winter. Winter comes with many uncertain and harsh conditions. The funds raised will be used for the following purposes:

To help Riham and her family survive in a winter tent: The names of the family members include: father, Jamil, 38; mother, Reham, 37; and her children, Eleen, 11; Talin, 9; and Larin, 2.

To meet the basic needs of Riham’s family while they are in Gaza awaiting evacuation. This will include food, water, medicine, blankets, tents, medical supplies, and other basic needs.

To help the family continue to shelter as winter arrives in Gaza.

My family and I are living in very difficult conditions in Gaza after October 7th, as we were displaced from our home five times.

I left with my husband and our young children several times from northern Gaza and we could not find a safe place for the children, then the army ordered us to flee to the southern Gaza Strip, so I fled with my husband and children, then we ended up fleeing to a small tent on the beach and sleeping on the sand in the bitter cold.

The tent fell on us more than once due to strong winds, and the children were screaming and scared.

The waves rose and the sea advanced towards our tent and it was smashed and we almost drowned.

There was also a shortage of healthy drinking water, which caused severe stomach pain and children contracted hepatitis.

Due to the conditions imposed by the Israeli occupation and the siege and the lack of resources, it was difficult to provide the children with basic and simple needs, such as special diapers in Larin, and to provide the needs of Ellen and Tallinn. Due to the lack of resources, they also suffered from skin rashes, and there is no treatment for them due to the siege.

To make matters worse, the family and the young children did not find a place to live, other than a tent directly on the seashore, and the sea waves were only a few meters away from them.

The family and the three children cannot sleep at night because of the sound of the wind hitting the nylon of the tent and the frightening sound of the sea waves, which leave them in fear and terror all the time. There is no bathroom or hot water for bathing. The mother washes the children’s clothes with sea water.

If there is food, it is cooked on firewood, and it is completely unhealthy and tastes bad because of the firewood.

I never imagined that our life would be like this, my husband, my three daughters and I were living a beautiful and peaceful life in Gaza, we had big dreams for our children and planned for a bright future, we had a printing and advertising shop, my wife worked in a women's rights organization, our income was very good, we had a house with a roof over our heads, a warm bed for the children, a special room for games and all their needs, but the war deprived them of that. The house was bombed, the shop was bombed, everything was destroyed by the war, nothing was left, not even the clothes, nothing was left.
