Help Ricky “Hollywood” Gordon Find Safe, Permanent Housing
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I'm raising funds on behalf of my dad, Ricky “Hollywood” Gordon. For those who know him, he is quite an unforgettable character; always somehow making his way to the front row of any concert he goes to and hyping up his friends and family who take the stage. He's been going through some really hard times and needs our help.
For the past couple of years, my dad has been unhoused, living in an RV on the streets of Los Angeles. Despite the challenges, he’s done everything he can to be respectful to the neighborhoods around him. Lately, he’s been parking under an overpass, out of the way of homes, and has followed city rules by moving regularly to accommodate street cleaning.
But now, he’s facing a new danger.
Yesterday, someone posted a threatening, anonymous letter on his RV—warning that if he doesn’t leave the area in two weeks, they’ll make his life terrible. With rising tensions around homelessness, we’re deeply afraid this threat might escalate into violence. My dad is already vulnerable, and this kind of intimidation is not only cruel, it’s incredibly dangerous.
My dad is disabled and lives on a very low fixed income. Most of what he has goes toward food and water. He has no electricity. No running water. No air conditioning. Just trying to survive the brutal LA heat each day.
He’s actively trying to find low-income housing, but even with programs available, there are waitlists, moving costs, and lots of uncertainty. That’s where you come in.
I’m hoping to raise enough to help him find safe, stable housing and to give him some breathing room to make that transition. Your support will go toward:
•Application and move-in fees for low-income housing
•RV storage or removal (if needed)
•Essential items to set up a new home
•Emergency funds in case things escalate
Life is already tough for my dad. He doesn’t need the added fear of being harassed or harmed just for existing. He deserves a safe place to rest and recover.
If you can donate, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you can share this campaign, that means the world too. Every act of kindness brings us closer to helping Ricky find peace and stability.
With Immense Thanks,
Malcolm
