Our Richmond Little League community has been hit with a heartbreaking setback.

Our league storage container was broken into, and thieves stole the golf cart used to drag and maintain our fields, along with a power washer, uniforms, and other essential maintenance equipment. The storage container itself was also significantly damaged and needs to be repaired.

The estimated cost to replace what was stolen and repair the damage is approximately $11,000:

Golf cart and field drag: $6,000

Storage container repairs: $4,000

Power washer and other maintenance equipment: $1,000

For a volunteer run league, $11,000 is an enormous and unexpected expense.

Every season, Richmond Little League is made possible by people who give their time because they believe our kids deserve a place to play, grow, compete, and build friendships. Our volunteer coaches spend countless hours at practices and games. Our league board members work behind the scenes organizing teams, maintaining fields, handling registration, coordinating schedules, and doing whatever needs to be done to keep the league going.

All of that work happens without compensation. Our volunteers contribute their time simply because they care about the children and families here in Richmond.

This theft doesn’t just take equipment. It takes resources away from the kids. Money that should be going toward fields, uniforms, equipment, programs, and creating a great baseball experience will now have to go toward replacing stolen property and repairing damage.

We are asking our Richmond community, Little League families, local businesses, friends, and supporters to help us get back on our feet. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser with your friends and community is just as valuable.

Our kids shouldn’t have to pay the price for what happened.
