Hi everyone!
Our dearest friend Richard recently got into a bad car accident (he hydroplaned on the 134 East and hit an overpass pillar during the heavy rain— thankfully he is not physically harmed) and needs a bit of help to pay for the car repair. Here is a breakdown of what he needs to help him get back on his feet (and into his car!):
The car shop quoted him for $2,800 in repair
The tow truck was $280
Estimated Uber costs until Friday are $200
Additional estimated GoFundMe transaction fee for total costs of 3,280 is $100
In total, I am asking for $3,380 because I think this will adequately help him through this difficult time.
Thank you so, so much for considering. If you cannot donate, please share.
If you don’t know Richard—this is a bit about him.
He is an asset to Los Angeles through his friendship, musicianship, and care for the community.
Richard runs a music studio where you can have low-cost rehearsals, concerts, and workshops. He often shows up and supports musicians by attending concerts, helping out through recordings, engraving, or playing for others for low costs or for free.
He is also an excellent teacher at the Pasadena Waldorf School (which recently had one campus burn down from the Eaton Fire), Glendale Community College, and Harvard-Westlake High School.
He is an incredible pianist, composer, artist, and person, and your donation would mean the world. Thank you!
