Help Richard and Bonnie Family Rebuild After Hurricanes

Our life in Punta Gorda has been turned upside down,

2 back to back hurricanes, Helene and Milton/2 -back-back Hurricanes have done so much destroyed in our area, and it is truly sad to see so many hurting. We all couldn’t open any doors or the tremendous storm surge would come in faster. We slept in our bed surrounded by water.

The Cottage where we lived is no longer livable and both cars have succumbed to saltwater, The flood waters made it near impossible to save a thing.

Our POD that we ordered the very first day after Helene couldn’t arrive for another week. When the second Hurricane Milton was predicted we boxed up everything including “some” furniture I felt I could salvage and called to have the POD picked up, their response was another week we can come!! Now with everything in the POD we shut the door and put sandbags in front of it and pray for the outcome.

Well Hurricane Milton came into the Charlotte Harbor even stronger than Helene. There hasn’t been a flood here in 100 years at our location, there have on other streets but not ours.

Richard opened the door to the storage POD after Milton and water and mud had penetrated the entire POD and house again,

We Need to replace so many things, transportation, household , and more.
