Hi My name is Andrea and I am reaching out to help someone named Rich who was just 2 short weeks ago living on the streets in a tent and pan handling for money. Rich lost his parents not to long ago and then shortly after lost his place of residence where he lived with his parents.

A lady I know reached out to me for help for food and clothing etc....She knew I did a lot of fundraising during the height of the Covid Pandemic to help the local Food Pantry in our area. For 14 weeks we helped people who were in need of food, fresh fruits and vegetables etc....and with the help of my community was able to help deliver food.

With the help of a few moms in my town and my husband we were able to get Rich off the streets, cleaned up and into a local hotel. Living in a hotel is not the answer it is a temporary solution.....Just last week Rich started a new job (with the help of a member of the community) and he loves it. It is only Day 4 but he feels good, likes what he is doing learning a new industry and has room for growth. He was so excited to tell me about the tools he may need if he grows with the company.

I reached out to local charity groups however aside from food it is very hard to find housing during times like this.

What Rich needs is help getting into an apartment that is close to his new job and apartment he can afford. He needs help getting set up and managing this for him.

I am reaching out to raise money to get Rich set up in an apartment. I am lucky to have a few friends that are helping me by making calls and looking for an apartment and collecting food and dropping it off at the hotel. I am worried about time not being on his side.....that is why I am starting this fundraiser.

I alone am not able to make this happen and I am worried that he will wind up back on the streets.

Once he is set up in his apartment it is going to be his new life and what he does with it is up to him. I have faith he will make this work. He is very grateful and feels beyond blessed that people are helping him giving him a chance.

If I am able to raise enough money it will go to first month, last month and security for his apartment.
