Help Revitalize Los Altos' Heritage Orchard

My name is Ibrahim Zanghi, and I am working on my Eagle Scout Project with Troop 499. I have been on the scouting journey since 2018 and have reached Life Scout. I will be completing this project as one of the final requirements for Eagle Scouts.

My project will bring awareness to the Los Altos Heritage Orchard, an underappreciated asset in our community but an important part of our City’s history dating back to when this land was filled with apricot orchards. Through collaboration with the Los Altos History Museum, I will design a self-guided tour for people to learn about the Orchard's history and significance. In addition, I will refurbish existing posts in the Orchard to be used as stations for the tour linked via QR code. This will allow citizens and guests of Los Altos to better understand and appreciate this living history while being immersed within it.
