Hello, my name is Patricia Sanchez. On the early morning of October 26, 2025, ICE detained my father along with his two brothers while they were on their way to work near SE River Road in Hillsboro, Oregon. They were racially profiled and were forced out of their work truck, with their tools and work clothes still inside. My father had no criminal record, and this depressing situation is really hurting our family, taking away our father along with our two uncles. Given that our father is our main provider, this greatly affects our family both emotionally and financially.
My father is a loving, caring, and gentle soul. He was loved by everyone in his life and is the kindest person we know. My father struggles with diabetes and high cholesterol, but even with these conditions, he's still a very hard worker, working 6 days a week in a physically demanding agricultural job just to provide for our family. He always has a smile on his face and treats everyone with kindness. The same is true for his two brothers who do the same for their own families.
This family is torn apart because of this situation, leaving us and our cousins without our fathers. We shouldn't have to worry about our hardworking parents not coming home one day simply because they were stopped for their race while being on their way to work. Our father and uncles don't deserve this discrimination and hate.
Ignacio was an amazing father, loved by everyone he met. A hard worker and charismatic person who provided for his family even when faced with difficult challenges. Behind he left his three young children ages 9 to 18, who depend on him.
These funds will mainly go towards an immigration lawyer and any filing fees required to fight his case, but it will also help cover any support for our three affected families. Any amount is appreciated, none are too small. We thank you for your support during these difficult times for our families and hope to one day be able to reunite again.
With love,
The Sanchez Family.
