On the morning of October 20th, 2025, Gaspar was detained by ICE in his own home — a place that should have been his safe space. His detention has left his wife and children heartbroken and uncertain about what comes next.
Gaspar has lived in the United States since the early age of 16 years. This country has been his home for decades — it’s where he built his life, raised his family, and worked tirelessly to provide them with a better future. Just recently, he had been approved for his work permit and was awaiting his green card, just a year away from becoming a permanent resident.
Those who know Gaspar know the kind of man he is — honest, humble, and selfless. He’s the type of person who would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. He’s worked multiple jobs over the years to ensure his family never went without, often putting their needs far above his own. Even through life’s hardest challenges, Gaspar has remained positive, strong, and ready to help anyone in need — no questions asked.
Despite his spotless record and ongoing immigration process, Gaspar was denied his right to due process. While in custody at the detention center he was not allowed to communicate with his lawyer or defend his case. Within just three days, he was deported involuntarily, separated from his family without fair consideration, representation or the opportunity to see his family one last time.
Gaspar's absence has created a deep emotional and financial hardship for his wife and children, who are now struggling to navigate this painful and unjust situation.
This fundraiser was created to support Gaspar and his family during this devastating time — to help with legal expenses, living costs, and the fight to bring him back home where he belongs.
If you’ve ever had the privilege of knowing Gaspar, you know how much light he brings into the lives of others. Now, it’s our turn to stand by him — to show his family that they are not alone, and to help bring Gaspar back home.
