The morning of Wednesday, August 12th my biggest fear came true. My husband was detained by ICE during a routine immigration check in. My entire world flipped upside down with a toddler by my side. My husband is my bestfriend, the best husband, and a devoted father. He is the rock of our family. Anyone who knows my husband knows his kindness, his hard-working nature, and his complete dedication to his family. Ted is the sole financial provider for our family and due to my husband being detained, I have been left with bills, responsibilities, and legal fees. I have had to go from being a SAHM working 15 hrs a week to 40-50 hrs just to get by to take care of my son and pay our bills. Life is hard enough as it is but having to pick up the pieces with a toddler and your bestfriend being ripped from you is devastating. I am working with our lawyer and we are fighting to get him home with us but legal fees are so incredibly expensive. I need to raise money fast for legal filing and court costs, emergency living expenses for Elian & I, and Immigration retainer fees.
