Hello everyone, and thank you for taking a moment to read our story. My name is Sabrina Valencia. On the morning of October 28th, 2025, my dad was suddenly detained by ICE on his was to work. We only received a 3 second voice recording he had sent to my mom before they took him. Since then we weren't able to reach him or understand what happened. This has been a been a heartbreaking and freighting time for our family. My dad has always worked hard to support us and keep our family stable, and now we are doing everything we can to bring him home. Your kindness, whether through donations or sharing our story, means so much to us.
What the funds will be used for:
- Attorney and legal fees to fight for my dad and bring him home
- Groceries and essential house hold needs for my family
- Rent and living expenses while we navigate this difficult situation
Update: Today around 6 pm the 29th of October 2025, my dad called my family. He’s currently in Tacoma Northwest Detention Center. We talked to him and he said he’s fine for now, although he is struggling with being sick. A family friend has visited my dad today and will visit him again tomorrow morning, along with my cousin to speak to him more. Thank you all for the donations! my family really appreciates it very much, God bless you all.
10/30-11/25 Update
My family lost contact with my father all day today, he didn't call us or his brother. We later tracked his A-number and he was transferred out of Tacoma Washington. He's currently in La Salle Detention Facility, Louisiana. A family friend called the facility and we won't get any information until Monday. This is truly heartbreaking for my family.
Please pray for us.
11/25/25 Update
My dad has been in Louisiana for 2 weeks now, and even though we miss him deeply, we're grateful that he's been able to call us everyday and video call us every few days. Hearing his voice and seeing his face has brought us so much comfort. Every time we talk, he reassures us that he's doing well and staying strong. On the video calls, he looks clean and healthy. Thankfully they allow him to shower, shave, give 3 meals a day, and he has access to the courtyard 2 times a day. My father attends church services the facility offers and spends a lot of time reading his Bible. Which we know his faith continues to give him strength and hope. My family has sent money into his account where my father can buy snacks and other items in the small store inside the facility. And through all of this, we hold onto the belief that God is watching over him, providing him with strength, protection, courage, and hope.
