Help Reunite Our Family After Deportation
Donation protected
My name is Vivian Do, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult times of my life. On March 5th, my father was detained by ICE and placed in a GEO processing facility in Adelanto, CA. In early May, we were told there was hope—our legal team would secure his release by May 16th, and ICE informed us that he would receive a notice of his decision on May 19th and wouldn’t be moved until June 5th. But without notice to our family or lawyers, on May 14th, ICE took my father in the middle of the night, transferred him to LA, put him on a bus to LAX, flew him to SFO, and deported him to Vietnam — all in the same day. My father called me that day, crying and apologizing for something he had no fault in. Through it all, it became painfully clear that to the administration, my father was just another statistic in their relentless pursuit to meet quotas under immigration policies designed not to protect, but to punish.
We followed every rule, filed every form, and held onto every ounce of hope, but the system failed us. We’re asking for your support to help us recover and keep going in the wake of this life-altering injustice. My mother and I are now facing this loss alone—emotionally devastated and financially overwhelmed. My father’s sudden deportation has left us without our main source of support. My mother is struggling to cover basic expenses, and I’m trying to manage new responsibilities while grieving and navigating an uncertain future.
To fight for my father’s freedom, we spent over $50,000 in legal fees. We’re asking for help to get through this incredibly difficult time. Your support will go towards covering those legal costs, helping with my father’s living expenses in Vietnam, and giving us a chance to begin rebuilding our life. Anything you can give would mean the world to us. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading this and supporting in any way possible.
