I sent him to my parents temporarily to get tutored to be brought up to grade level while I transitioned from CA to Oregon with my other son.I never imagined that a temporary arrangement would turn into a painful separation. My parents decided not to return Kolt, and after a move away trial, a judge ruled that he must stay in Florida unlawfully Myself and his brother are heartbroken.

I am doing everything I can to bring Kolt home, but the legal process is overwhelming and costly. With the help of an attorney, I can appeal the court’s decision. I truly believe this appeal is my best chance to correct what has happened and reunite Kolt with myself and his brother. Every day apart is incredibly hard, but I am holding onto hope that with the right support, we can be together again soon.
