My brother-in-law, Edgar, is currently being held in an ICE detention center. We are raising funds for his lawyer fees and bond.

My sister has already experienced a lot of pain that I wish no family ever had to go through. In June 2019, our dad was deported, and our family was left to carry the heartbreak and uncertainty that came with losing him.

Now, years later, my sister is facing another devastating situation. Her husband, Edgar, is being detained by ICE after trying to protect and defend his wife. My sister and Edgar have been together since they were 15 years old & we’re High school sweathearts.

It is heartbreaking to watch someone you love go through this twice. To see my sister once again have to worry about whether her family will be torn apart is something that is incredibly difficult to put into words.

Edgar is not just a case number or a person sitting inside a detention center. He is a husband, a brother, a son, a loved one, and someone who has a family waiting and praying for him to come home.

Our family has already experienced the pain of deportation once. We never imagined we would be standing in this same place again.

Right now, we are asking for prayers, support, and compassion for Edgar, my sister, and our entire family. ❤️‍
