We are raising funds to help the love of my life, Briayan. We are in need of funding for an immigration attorney. On July 10th, Briayan went into a mandatory court date where he was detained. After a few days, we found out he had been transferred into ICE custody.

Briayan's story starts when he was very young and unable to take control of his own situation. He was only 5 years old when he was brought into the United States. He attended Carter Lake Elementary School, Woodrow Wilson Middle School, and graduated in 2015 from Thomas Jefferson High School. From the time he was a young boy he has always loved the outdoors. He has always had a passion for motorsports. He is a handy man and started in college to become a diesel mechanic. For the last 23 years, he has grown up in the Midwest, built a life here in Iowa/Nebraska, and started a family here. He has never been outside of the United States. He loves this country and is proud to be an American. Briayan has been a DACA recipient since his arrival, until recently. He is hardworking and has worked at many scaffolding companies in Omaha, helping to build and repair our communities. He is kind even if it is a detriment to himself, and is always willing to help others. He is a funny and overwhelmingly positive man. Even now, in the face of being sent somewhere he's never been and being ripped from his family, he stays determined and optimistic that he will be reunited with us. Briayan is hopeful and grateful for everyday that God gives him. He only wants to take care of his family like anyone else and raise his two little boys. One who is turning 5 next week and other who will be 2 in October.

The state he is from in Mexico has been in a constant cartel war for years. Sinaloa is on the US's Do Not Travel list, and as time goes by has become increasingly volatile. We are afraid for his life if he is returned to his birthplace. This has been an extremely heartbreaking week for us. Please help him and our family reunite. As this is the only home he's ever known.
