My name is Jennifer, and I am organizing this campaign to help Beatriz, the mother of my daughter’s best friend. A few months ago, Beatriz went through a very difficult immigration situation in the United States that resulted in her deportation to Chile. For three months she was held in immigration detention before being sent back to Chile. It happened suddenly, and she had to return with almost nothing, leaving behind her home, her belongings, and most painfully, her children. When she arrived, she had to begin rebuilding her life completely from scratch.
Beatriz has been doing everything she can to prepare for the day her children can finally join her again. She has found a place to live and is working hard to create a stable home where they can continue their lives and education in Chile. The biggest obstacle right now is the cost of travel to bring the children from the United States to Chile. As many people know, international flights, luggage, and the services required for minors traveling safely represent a significant expense. Despite these challenges, Beatriz has not given up. She has organized raffles and small fundraising efforts to try to raise the money needed to bring her children home.
This campaign is meant to help cover the costs of their travel, and any remaining funds will cover education fees upon their arrival. Those of us who know Beatriz know how deeply she loves her children and how hard she has worked to support them. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps bring this family one step closer to what they want most: being together again. If you are not able to donate, sharing this campaign also helps tremendously. Thank you for supporting Beatriz and her children in their journey to reunite as a family.
