Alex is a humble and kind student who attended my art class. He always greeted me with a smile, eager to help with daily tasks and excited about everything I was teaching—something truly rare and special. Our classroom was brighter because of his presence, and he made a positive impact on everyone around him.

In early November 2025, Alex and his father were suddenly detained by immigration officers in their own neighborhood and sent to Mexico. The week after they were taken, Alex’s mother came to my classroom door with the phone in her hand. Alex wanted to tell me why he wouldn’t be back and to say goodbye. It was a heartbreaking moment that showed just how much he valued our connection and his education.

Now, Alex’s mother and siblings are facing tremendous hardship. They are struggling to afford their bills and do not have the means to purchase tickets to leave the country and reunite with Alex and his father. The family is separated and in urgent need of support. I am starting this fundraiser to help Alex’s family cover their essential expenses and bring them back together.
