My name is Aidah, and I came to America from Uganda when I was ten years old. The biggest reason I came to this country was for better medical care for my heart condition. I was brought here by a couple who promised my family they would care for me, but instead, I faced years of hardship, neglect, and isolation. Despite everything, I held onto hope and faith—and in 2023, I was blessed with my daughter. She is my light, my joy, and the reason I keep going every single day.
My daughter is a bright, loving, and adventurous little girl who loves to dance, sing, and explore the world around her. She was born premature but has always been strong and full of life. When she is with me, she is happy, curious, and surrounded by love.
Recently, my world was turned upside down when she was taken from me on August 31st, 2025 by a male through a court order. I did not see my little one physically again until March 9th, 2026. The judge granted me three video calls a week, but after he took her to Alaska, he cut off all communication and ignored the parenting app we had used for years. He forced me to use iMessage with him when he took her, so of course I used that just to see and speak to my daughter. Yet he still controlled and cut off communication.
He did this to make it harder to keep track of evidence, because the co-parenting app we used, called APPCLOSE, keeps everything neatly and securely—you can’t unsend or hide anything. The app literally has everything documented, and when my child is back in my care, he will need to use it for everyone’s safety and accountability, since he loves lying, making up stories, and trying to make himself look like a hero or a good person.
He would block my attempts to see or speak with her, even though the parenting plan guarantees contact. This went on for almost three months until I was finally able to pick her up on March 9th, 2026.
During that time, my daughter suffered greatly. She came back with bruises and other injuries she did not deserve, caused under his care. She is only two years old—just imagine a baby with a strong bond to her mother, being separated and hurt like that. My heart breaks thinking about what she endured, and the trauma she experienced is something no child should ever face.
This guy lies constantly, hates women and children more than anything in this world, and uses them to maintain control—not because he cares. He continues to put my daughter and me through abuse and manipulation because he finds happiness only in our suffering. He is not stable or safe, and this is proven by the fact that he does not have custody of his other children due to being a danger to them and their mother. He alienates and interferes with the mother-child relationship, is neglectful, and does not think about the wellbeing of the child or the mother. He is not the kind of person a child should ever be around.
He hates seeing my daughter and me happy and thriving. He creates chaos, drama, and fear at every turn. Yet, despite how exhausting and ugly this battle is, I will keep fighting. My child deserves a safe, happy childhood and a bright future. She is a human being who must be protected from people who seek only to hurt or use her as a pawn. He and his partner have caused her harm in ways that no child should ever experience.
I am asking for help to secure legal representation in Alaska so I can fight for my daughter’s safety and bring her back into a loving, stable home. I want her to grow up surrounded by care, joy, and the support she deserves. Any amount of donation will be used for back-and-forth trips when my child is taken from me again so I can pick her up, to secure legal representation when I have enough funds to do so, and for my child’s needs, as her wellbeing will always come first. Your support will give us a chance to be reunited, and I am grateful for any help you can offer to make that possible.
