Help Reunite Abigail with Her Family

The past year has been incredibly difficult for our family—especially for my niece, Abigail. For 12 of her 13 years, I have co-parented this beautiful girl in my brother’s absence. Legally named in the visitation decree, I was there for every moment—school pickups, doctor’s appointments, soccer games, birthdays, vacations, and even playing Santa every Christmas Eve and morning.

In 2019, tragedy struck when my brother took his own life. But despite this loss, my bond with Abigail remained unbroken—until the fall of 2023, when her mother suddenly cut off all contact between Abigail and our family. Since then, Abigail has struggled with her mental health, and I have been fighting in court to stay in her life.

Even though the court has granted me video calls, they aren’t happening because her mother controls access. Our next court date isn’t until July, and legal fees are mounting.
