Help Reunite a Family Torn Apart by Crisis, A Mother's Plea

My name is Olive and I never imagined I’d be here—asking the kindness of strangers to help keep my family together.

Recently, my husband, Austin, was filmed during the most vulnerable moment of his life. The video went viral, shared millions of times. But what people saw was not entertainment—it was psychosis. He was incoherent, lost in a mental health crisis, and made a spectacle of by strangers while he was escorted to the hospital after running into traffic, by a friend we didn't know yet, Cameron (aka ogcowboycam on instagram). Our private nightmare became public, but also an opportunity for receiving help.

Behind the scenes, we’re a family of six—two parents and four young children—fighting to survive wave after wave of hardship. We bought our home trying to build something safe for our children, but after spending thousands on a new roof and new floors, we discovered hidden damage. The ceilings collapsed, the foundation is cracked, the pipes leak constantly, and nearly every major appliance broke within months: our washer, dryer, dishwasher, toilets, sink, and disposal all failed. It’s become unsafe and unsustainable.

As financial stress grew, Austin’s job as a software developer—already underpaid and overworked—became impossible to maintain. Multiple deaths in the family added to our grief. I took in my younger sister during her time of need, only to discover she’d stolen my identity and opened accounts in my name. Even now, we’re still untangling the mess she left behind.

Then, as Austin’s mental health deteriorated, I was blindsided by a call from Child Protective Services. Based on false and devastating claims—that I, myself was a hard drug addict, possibly prostituting, mentally unstable, and neglectful—our children were removed. These accusations are completely untrue, and I’ve been fighting every day since to prove it. I’ve passed every test. I’ve followed every rule. I’ve even had cameras on myself 24/7 to show I had nothing to hide.

Still, I’m separated from the four little souls who have cried for their mother every day since.

I nearly died giving birth to our youngest child—but I came back. And I’m fighting again now—for all of us. For my husband, who lost his job, his teeth, his savings, and nearly his mind. For our children, who need their home, their stability, and their parents back. For the chance to repair this house, sell it, and start again in a safe place where we can reunite and heal.

I need to raise enough to:

Hire a real, private attorney to advocate for my children and me

Repair or prepare our home for sale

Replace basic household appliances

Cover medical and mental health support

Pay debts accumulated through fraud, breakdown, and loss

Keep our family from drowning under the weight of it all

I am thankful for the few, genuine friends who have held me up. I am, even now, still full of love for Austin, because even now, I know what unconditional love really looks like.

If you’ve ever had your life turned inside out in a moment… if you believe in second chances… if you’ve ever wanted to help a family find their way back to one another—please consider donating or sharing.

We are not a tragedy. We are a family who loves deeply, has suffered too much, and is doing everything possible to rise again.
