On Saturday, March 8, what was supposed to be an exciting moving weekend for my husband and I quickly turned into heartbreak. We discovered that our storage unit had been broken into, and most of our belongings were either stolen, damaged, or completely destroyed.

We moved to Georgia in November and were fortunate to stay with family while we planned our next steps toward finding a home of our own. We had stored our furniture, personal items, and cherished belongings, thinking they would be safe. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

It is hard to put into words what we are feeling, but we are thankful to be safe and surrounded by love. While it is all materialistic items, many held sentimental value that can never be replaced.

We have turned to this platform with humble hearts, hoping to raise funds to begin replacing the essentials we lost and get back on our feet as we move toward rebuilding. This is not easy to ask for us, but any support would mean the world to us.
