I purchased my home in 2025, excited to start a new chapter. Wanting to make sure everything was in good shape, I reached out to Capital Well several times throughout 2025 and early 2026 to inspect my well system, measure water levels, and repair a well cap. My goal was to prevent any potential problems before they started. Despite my repeated calls and service requests, I never received a response or an appointment from the company.
Unfortunately, my well system eventually failed when the well pipe froze. When I contacted Capital Well again, they told me there had been a “system glitch” that prevented them from receiving my earlier requests. They finally came out to replace the well pump, tank, and filter. My well was originally drilled to about 425 feet, but during the installation of the replacement pump, the technician said a piece of shale likely slipped and blocked the well. Because of this, the pump could only be installed at 160 feet instead of the 300 feet it was at before. Now, more than 250 feet of the well’s depth is inaccessible, which has drastically reduced my available water and could affect the reliability of my home’s water supply. The recommended flow is 5 GPM, and I’m well under that now. When I raised my concerns, the company refused to take responsibility and simply advised me to keep using water as usual to see if any issues came up. The only solution they offered was a quote for a large repair. I’ve already taken out a second mortgage for the work they didn’t complete, and I don’t have the money to repair the well or fix the damage caused during the replacement. No other companies nearby are willing to come this far, and the only other company I contacted declined to help.
The funds I raise will go directly toward repairing my well and, if possible, helping with the second mortgage I had to take out for the incomplete work. This support will help restore reliable water to my home and relieve some of the financial pressure caused by this situation. I don’t generally ask for help, but I am in desperate need at this point. I have significant water insecurity at this point. Any support would mean the world to me.
