Help Rebuild the Vero Beach Veterans Club

Donation protected
The Vero Beach Veterans Club has been a staple of the community of Vero Beach for many years supporting local veterans, families, those that support veterans, and the community through outreach and coordinated efforts. The “Club” or the "V" as it is known by its members and non-members alike have congregated to enjoy homecooked meals, dance to local music, game-nights, raise funds through the canteen for local veterans causes, and provide a space for veterans and those that support veterans.
Vero Beach is widely known for its beautiful beaches and small town feel with flocks of snowbirds calling Vero home in the warmth in the winter months. It is also known to have a very large veteran population and one of the only Veterans clubs locally. Members routinely bring their talents on a volunteer basis to raise funds for the club from Wanda's famous Karaoke night to a night dancing in on the dance floor, this Club extends its outreach to coordinating Christmas parties for Children in the community, and numerous sponsorships for local charitable events.
Following the recent outbreak of tornados during Hurricane Milton that impacted the Treasure Coast area, the Vero Beach Veterans Club was severely damaged following a direct hit from the enormous storm leaving “Th Club” condemned and in need of extensive work. Unfortunately, due to the rising cost of insurances specific to wind “the Club” was not covered at the time of this storm for wind damage and repair costs are far beyond of that the club can manage. Please consider supporting the efforts to get this vital community supporter back up and running so that they can resume their positive impact it has with the Vero Beach Community.
All funds raised will be appropriately managed through the assigned beneficiary of the Vero Beach Veterans Club and designated trustee indicated by the commander; used for the sole purpose of restoring the “Vero Beach Club” back in working order with excess funds used to ensure proper insurances and supportive services are in place to keep this club and its longevity a continued place for Veterans, their families, and those that support veterans and its community in the Vero Beach, Florida.
My name is Bonnie A. Walker and I am a member of the Vero Beach Veterans Club and have been tasked specifically by the Commander of the Vero Beach Veterans Club- Marschall Van Doren and Annette Osborne to organize this fundraiser for specific purpose to raise funds that are specific to the club needs in the rebuilding process. The funds are to be used at the discretion of the beneficiary: specific to rebuilding costs, expenditures associated to the Vero Beach Veterans Club. The beneficiary Marschall Van Doren will be managing all funds and transfer of funds associated with this fundraiser and will provide disclosure to its members of how these funds are spent.

About the organizer:
My name is Bonnie A. Walker LCSW, CTP, C-DBT, CMIP and I am a member of the Vero Beach Veterans Club, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Local business owner, and Navy Veteran. I have been tasked by the Commander of the Vero Beach Veterans Club Marschall VanDoren and Annette Osborne to organize this fundraiser. We see the vital importance of having an organization like this available for those within this community to connect with one another as veterans resources within this community are limited and the loss of this space would be a tremendous loss for not only veterans, families, and those that support them but the community at large due to their significant community contribution.
