Help Restore Unity Primary School in Tanzania

Hi, we’re Kaira and Evie, and we’re currently volunteering at Unity Primary School in Arusha, Tanzania, where we have the privilege of teaching a wonderful and hardworking 3rd-grade class. The students here have an incredible love for learning, but the school lacks many of the basic resources needed to support their education. The classrooms are in urgent need of repairs, with roofs that are collapsing and covered in black mold. Many students share just a few pencils between them, and notebooks are so limited that they have to erase past lessons just to make space for new ones. Despite these challenges, their enthusiasm and motivation never fades, and it’s inspiring to see how much they value their education. Unfortunately, only about 28.3% of children in Tanzania complete secondary school, often due to poor learning conditions and a lack of resources.

We want to do everything we can to support them, and that’s why we’re raising funds to help improve their learning environment. With your support, we hope to repair and replace classroom furniture, ensuring that every student has a comfortable and safe place to learn. We also want to provide essential school supplies such as notebooks, pencils, and textbooks, so students no longer have to share or erase their work. In addition, we’re aiming to help with critical school repairs, including fixing damaged roofs, making the classrooms safer and more comfortable for learning.
