Help Restore The Rainbow Garden
Donation protected
For the past 4 years I have operated a small dye garden called the Rainbow Garden. This is an educational garden where I host free workshops in dying fibers with plants, and making natural watercolors.
The plants from this garden are also used at local markets and festivals for community art experiences. All garden workshops and activities are free and open to the public.
In the last year, the Rainbow Garden provided artistic experiences for more than 1000 people in the St. Louis Metro Area.
This is a community oriented project that is not income generating.
This week a tornado hit St. Louis and the Rainbow Garden was in the direct path. All of the trees were blown over and landed on top of the garden beds. I had just ordered live plants to plant in the garden. They were not planted yet as they were getting acclimated to the garden environment, and they are all gone.
I personally pay for all of the Rainbow Garden plants and supplies out of my own pocket, so I rely on donations for managing the garden. Cleaning up the garden and replacing the lost plants is not part of my already tight budget for the garden.
I’m asking for donations so that I can clean up the fallen trees and reorder the plants that were lost!
Thank You!
