RhythmWave Needs YOUR HELP to Bring Conscious Dance

Back to Burning Man in 2026!

RhythmWave is raising funds to help bring conscious dance back to Burning Man in 2026. After extreme weather and a few mud burns, our beloved bamboo dance floor has experienced significant damage and needs some serious TLC.

We’re seeking community support to repair, upgrade, and expand this sacred offering so it can safely return to the playa.

Our minimum goal of $15,000 covers critical repairs.

Our middle goal of $35,000 allows us to move the floor to a much better location than the playa while we fully refurbish the floor, repair the shade, repair the kitchen, repair the new chill tent, repair the tent shade and beautify the camp.

Our ideal goal of $50,000 would allow us to do all of the above, and increase the size of the floor, along with providing more storage so that we can better support our expanding dance family for years to come.

Who We Are

Hello Dancing Family! We are RhythmWave and we are dedicated to bringing conscious dance via our big, beautiful bamboo dance floor back to the playa in 2026!

RhythmWave exists to bring conscious dance, movement practice, and embodiment education to Black Rock City. What began as a humble theme camp in 2007 has grown into an international association of gifted movement facilitators, teachers, and practitioners.

For thousands of people over the years, RhythmWave has been a place of sanctuary, ceremony, communion, community, and prayer through dance — a space for deep human connection and a dedicated family that continues to grow year-by-year. Of course we aim to return to the playa in 2026. Unfortunately, the rain, heat and severe wind of the past 3 years has taken a toll on our infrastructure. To return to the playa in full health and ready to support Black Rock City, we need your help!

Why We’re Raising Funds

Last burn, extreme weather and water damage took a serious toll on our dance floor and core infrastructure. While we were grateful to still keep the dance floor in action, the wear and tear means we now face critical repairs. We’re committed to making these repairs part of a broader offering — a community gathering to strengthen and expand what we bring to the playa, and build connection within our RhythmWave community off and on the playa.

We’re raising funds to:

TIER 1: $15K – Minimal repair our dance floor on-playa

TIER 2: $35K – Move and fully repair our floor, repair and upgrade other essential infrastructure

TIER 3: $50K – Expand the dance floor to serve our growing community

Our minimum goal is $35,000, which allows us to fund critical repairs to the floor and infrastructure so we can safely and successfully return in 2026.

Our ideal goal is $50,000, which lets us upgrade, reinforce, waterproof, and expand our floor and camp to hold even more playa dance family, ensuring RhythmWave can thrive for years to come.

Why This Matters

We believe RhythmWave offers something special: a grounded, welcoming, safe, and intentional dance space where bodies can move, hearts can open, and strangers and family alike of all ages can drop in, move freely, and reconnect with themselves and each other.

In a city built on participation and gifting, the dance floor is our offering, a living altar born and built from blood, sweat and tears, shaped and shared by everyone who has sweated their prayers into its boards over the decades.
