Help Restore Red Church Plantation Sign

To our residents and friends of Red Church Plantation Estates Subdivision in Destrehan, Louisiana, we need your help!

Would you please consider donating any amount to assist us in repairing our neighborhood sign? A newly refurbished sign will truly help to enhance our entry from Longview Drive. This sign was originally installed by the developer in the 1980s, and any repair must be paid by its residents. The Parish of St. Charles has been contacted for assistance; however, we were informed that it is our responsibility.

We've started the process of getting quotes to replace the wooden part of the sign. We also want to lighten the brick behind the sign by using a masonry technique called German Schmear or a whitewash effect, as well as purchase solar lights to shine down on the sign. The landscaping and cleanup around the sign are underway by some of our neighbors who volunteered their time and will need some reimbursement for paying a gardener who pulled the old African Irises and Holly bushes up by the roots.
