I’m writing this on behalf of a dear friend who is currently 36 weeks pregnant and doing everything she possibly can to prepare for her baby’s arrival.
Over the past several months, she has been working double shifts, pushing her exhausted, pregnant body far beyond what most people could handle—all so she could save enough money to take a little time off after giving birth and focus on healing and bonding with her newborn. Every extra hour she worked, every ache and sleepless night, was for her baby.
Then, in a moment that feels incredibly unfair, someone broke into her car and stole $1,400 in cash—money she had worked tirelessly to save for maternity leave, baby supplies, and basic living expenses during those first crucial weeks postpartum.
At 36 weeks pregnant, there is no time to simply “work more” to make this up. Her body needs rest. Her baby needs her healthy. Instead of preparing for labor and nesting, she’s now facing overwhelming stress and uncertainty—through no fault of her own.
We are asking for help to replace what was stolen so she can:
Take time off after birth without fear
Focus on recovery and her newborn
Avoid the physical and emotional toll of working until the very last moment
Every donation, share, and kind word means more than you know. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is just as appreciated.
Thank you for helping restore a little peace, security, and hope to a hardworking mom-to-be during one of the most vulnerable moments of her life.
