Losing someone is hard. Spending years stuck in probate while a home slowly falls apart around the memories makes it even harder. After almost four years, our family is finally able to begin cleaning out and restoring the home. What should have been a time to grieve turned into years of waiting, stress, paperwork, and uncertainty. During that time, the house suffered from neglect and now needs major cleanup and basic repairs just to make it safe and livable again.

We’re doing everything we can ourselves. My dad and uncle are helping with the outside, while my mom, my sons, and I are tackling the inside room by room. The emotional weight of sorting through a lifetime of belongings while trying to rebuild has been overwhelming at times. Right now, we urgently need help with junk removal, dumpster costs, deep cleaning supplies, kitchen repairs, bathroom repairs, odor cleanup, and basic restoration.

This isn’t about luxury renovations. It’s about trying to save a family home and slowly put life back together after years of loss and hardship.
