Help restore Oakland's Zebra murals

Hi my name is Dan Fontes, and I painted the Zebra murals under Oakland's 580 freeway

near Mosswood Park. Exceptionally huge graffiti has, once again, covered over the murals.

Originally done in 1985 and restored in 2003 and 2017. In 2017 the paintings were coated with anti-graffiti

sealer. A small group of volunteers has started restoring the public art murals, but due to new types

of damage much of the animal images have been damaged and some destroyed. Funds will help offset

materials and labor needed to bring the Zebras back to life.
