We are raising funds to restore N37636, a historic Fairchild C-119L Flying Boxcar, and give this remarkable aircraft a chance to be appreciated by future generations. Built in 1954 as U.S. Air Force serial number 53-8150, this aircraft represents an important era in American military aviation. The C-119 Flying Boxcar was designed to transport troops, vehicles, equipment, and vital supplies, and aircraft of this type played important roles in military airlift operations during the Cold War and the Korean War era. With its distinctive twin-boom design and rear cargo-loading capability, the Flying Boxcar became one of the most recognizable military transport aircraft of its time. N37636 served with the U.S. Air Force, including an assignment with the 10th Airlift Squadron at Ramstein Air Base in West Germany, before entering civilian ownership. Later known as the “Georgia Box,” it eventually made its way to Greybull, Wyoming, where it spent years in storage. Today, we have an opportunity to preserve this piece of aviation history and protect the legacy of the aircraft, the people who flew it, and the generations of service members who depended on aircraft like it. Restoration is a major undertaking that requires time, skilled hands, specialized equipment, and financial support. Every donation, no matter the size, will help us move one step closer to bringing N37636 back to life and preserving its story for years to come. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with fellow aviation enthusiasts, veterans, history lovers, and friends is another meaningful way to help. Together, we can ensure that this legendary Flying Boxcar is not forgotten and that its history continues to inspire future generations. Thank you for being part of this mission to save a piece of American aviation heritage!
