On Wednesday, September 24th, someone threw a large stone through the front window of Keep Time Barbershop. This wasn’t just any window — it was original 100-year-old glass that also carried our hand-painted shop sign, a piece of art that welcomed everyone who walked by.
Keep Time Barbershop is the definition of a small, local business. Six of us make our living inside this building, and over the years we’ve built great relationships with people from every walk of life. That’s why this loss stings so deeply.
Because of the age of the window, replacing the glass isn’t simple. The entire frame has to be rebuilt before new glass can be installed. On top of that, our custom sign — which was all hand-painted — will also need to be completely redone.
Unfortunately, insurance isn’t helping us cover this damage. After an already tough summer with several unexpected expenses, I’m not in a position to take on this financial hit alone.
Several friends and clients have encouraged me to set up a GoFundMe so the community has a way to pitch in and help. If you’re able to contribute, every dollar will go directly toward restoring the window and getting our sign repainted, so Keep Time Barbershop can look like home again.
Thank you for your support — whether it’s a donation, a share, or just kind words. It means the world to us.
