Hi Everyone,
I’m starting this GoFundMe for my best friend, Kristen, as she navigates an incredibly difficult season of her life. Any support you can offer — big or small — will help me reach this goal and make a real difference for someone who truly deserves it.
Kristen has spent her entire life giving to others. She’s the person who always keeps spare cash in her pocket to brighten the day of someone struggling on the street. She’s the friend who will show up with tools in hand to patch a wall, clean up a mess, or help however she can without ever being asked. Her heart is enormous, and she has always put others before herself.
But now, she needs help.
After a work-related injury forced her out of her job for the past few months, Kristen lost her health insurance — both for herself and for her child. She’s trying to manage the effects of her injury while also dealing with complications from desmoid-type fibromatosis, a rare tumor disorder that requires close medical care. As we all know, losing insurance while facing health challenges can be overwhelming, especially with bills rising and no steady income coming in.
On top of the medical struggles, Kristen has been pushing through car issues she can’t afford to repair, and tackling the responsibilities of being a single mom to her incredible 5-year-old son. After losing the father of her child, she worked relentlessly to buy her first home — only to be left with unfinished and faulty work by a contractor who walked away after being paid. She and her son have been trying to make the best of a house full of problems they shouldn’t have to face alone.
Still, she keeps going.
Still, she shows up for everyone around her.
Still, she never asks for anything in return.
I created this GoFundMe because it’s finally time someone shows up for her. My hope is to help Kristen regain some stability, ease the financial and emotional weight on her shoulders, and give her the chance to enjoy the holidays with her son without the fear and stress of everything piling up.
Any support — donations or simply sharing this — would mean more than words can express. Thank you for helping me lift up someone who has lifted so many others.
