Over the last 30-40 years, the outlets and wiring that light our wreaths, snowflakes, and silhouettes during the Christmas season on the power poles along Boston State Road have begun to die out. Originally, we had over 75 decorations and now we're down to 50 or less because the outlets don't work any more. We need to bring them up to today's standards by replacing them. At between $500 and $700 per pole for the electricians and their equipment, as well as the modern wiring needed for the 21st Century, it's a hefty sum.
