We are raising funds for The Flowerland marquee, the iconic sign at our 80-year-old plant nursery in Albany, California. For generations, Flowerland has been part of the rhythm of this community, and its famous marquee has been a beloved Albany landmark since 1947. Over the years, the marquee has done so much more than advertise a business. It has shared thoughtful, inspiring messages in the physical world for everyone passing by to see, reflect on, and share.

Lately, many people have noticed that the marquee is leaning more and more, and is now in need of major restoration work. Donations will go directly toward restoring the marquee so it can stand strong again. In full transparency, we do not own the property. For the past 18 years we have loved being stewards of it. We and the City of Albany are committed to its permanence in the community.

Because of its importance in our community The City of Albany has generously offered a grant to help, but it will not be enough to cover the full scope of the project. The costs will be substantial to give the marquee a solid new foundation and rebuild it anew.

The Flowerland marquee is a rare thing these days, and we believe it is worth preserving. Please help us restore it to its original glory so it can continue to inspire, connect, and bring a smile to our community for another 80 years.
