Hi I am Lorina von stanke and Iam creating this fundraiser on behalf of Taflabana Guest House with their full knowledge and permission,I am authorised to raise funds for them .

Goal: Restore vandalized water tank and secure clean water access.

Location: Taflabana Community

Beneficiaries: Women, children, and environmental programs

Our Story

Taflabana Guest House in the langalanga lagoons solomon Islands is more than a place to stay — it is a community lifeline. The guest house supports women and children through cultural shell money initiatives, mangrove replanting, and environmental protection programs that sustain our land and future generations.

Recently, our community suffered a major setback. Our clean water tank was vandalized, leaving the guest house without reliable access to safe water. This has directly impacted daily life, hygiene, food preparation, and our ability to host visitors whose contributions support community programs.

Clean water is essential — especially for women and children, who are most affected when water access is disrupted.

Why This Matters

Without a functioning water tank:

*Women and children must travel long distances for water

*Health and sanitation risks increase

*Environmental and cultural programs are threatened

*Income from eco-tourism and community stays is reduced

The guest house plays a key role in:

Empowering women through shell money production

Protecting coastal ecosystems through mangrove replanting

Educating visitors about environmental stewardship

Supporting children’s wellbeing through sustainable community income

How Your Support Helps

Funds raised will be used to: ✔ Repair or replace the vandalized water tank

✔ Improve security to prevent future vandalism

✔ Restore safe, clean water access

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps rebuild dignity, health, and sustainability for our community.
