Help Restore 13-Year-Old Princess's Future

Tadiwanashe, known as Princess, is a 13-year-old girl from Masiphumelele, Cape Town, South Africa, who enjoys playing with her friends and going to school, just like many girls her age. Unfortunately in early March, an older man brutally sexually assaulted her.

Confused and frightened, Princess kept what happened to herself until recently, when her mother noticed her growing belly. It was then revealed that she is 22 weeks pregnant with her assailant's child. Princess is currently 28 weeks pregnant.

This innocent child now faces the harsh reality of growing up far too quickly, with her future stolen away because someone else took away her choice.

Princess’s mother, Doreen, is a single parent of two. Now, she faces the responsibility of raising this baby as her own so that her 13-year-old daughter can return to school and have a future.

Unfortunately, Doreen is the sole breadwinner for the family. She will need to take time off work to care for the baby until it’s old enough for daycare.

We are asking for financial assistance to help Doreen maintain some income while she takes a few months off work, allowing her daughter to return to school and secure her future, to help pay for formula and diapers for the baby and help the family heal.

All funds raised will be held in a private bank account and will be used as needed for the baby's expenses. A portion will also be distributed monthly to Doreen. I will personally match all donations received.

A case has been opened at the police against the attacker, case number 118/08/2024 at Ocean View Police Station.

Princess and Doreen are working closely with doctors at Groote Schuur Hospital to ensure she has a safe and healthy pregnancy, and receive the correct therapy to help them heal from this trauma.
